DADU
This client needed a garage, more storage space, and an opportunity for rental income. At the time (2019), the city of Seattle only allowed detached accessory dwelling units (DADUs) to be a maximum of 800 square feet. We found a design solution that fit both the clients goals and met code restrictions.
Note: The codes have recently changed and it is now possible to design much larger DADUs.
